Keep Safe when you dispose of Sensitive documents

To you, it may be trash that you can’t wait to get rid of. To cyber criminals, documents containing your or your client’s personal information can be extremely valuable — for the wrong reasons.
Here’s what you can do right now to keep your personal data safe when you dispose of such documents.
1) Permanently delete your digital files by emptying your bin.
When you delete a file, it gets removed from view but its data still resides in your system. So make sure it’s really gone: Go to the Recycle Bin or Trash folder and empty it immediately.
2) Shred sensitive physical documents. Tearing them in half or quarters isn’t enough. Also, don’t make the mistake of recycling them or selling them to the karang guni — you’d be giving your personal information away for just a few dollars.
